Weddings and Proms

Our Horkesley Park Suffolk Punches add a touch of magic to a wedding day enabling the bride, her bridesmaids and other members of the party to arrive for the ceremony in style and the happy couple to return for the wedding breakfast in a very romantic and nostalgic way.

The mighty and magnificent Suffolk Punches never fail to present a real “wow factor” for everyone.  They also provide fantastic photo opportunities adding that extra special something to a truly memorable day.

We have a choice of stunningly decorated carriages, drays and restored farm wagons available to suit the number of people travelling, whether it be just two or a large group.  All coachmen are smartly attired in traditional livery and work hard to make the wedding day run as smoothly as possible, providing plenty of photo opportunities.

Special events

From a wedding client...

We are writing to thank you for the wonderful experience you provided on our wedding day with the magnificent Punches and the beautiful red carriage. I am a long time fan of the breed but nobody in attendance could fail to be impressed by the spectacle.

Your communication beforehand and during last minute changes of plan, caused by the weather, was exemplary and made sure that the wedding anxieties were not multiplied. Your grooms, driver and supporting staff were friendly, helpful, accommodating and thoroughly professional on the day. It was particularly gratifying the next morning to hear the owners of the hall where the horses got ready describing how you’d cleared gravel from the grass and removed any visible hoof prints as you left.

It was a luxury to have you there but worth every penny and an experience that will stay with us all our married life. We look forward to visiting you soon at Horkesley Park.

We attend many different types of special events with our Horkesley Park Suffolk Punches.  We can provide horse-drawn “turnouts” (carriages, drays, wagons, etc.) or horses just “in hand”.

We use turnouts for a variety of purposes, from taking people around nature reserves to conveying guests from car parks to a venue holding perhaps a special party, a grand ball or as transport to special occasions such as school proms and parties.

When in hand the Suffolk Punches also create a superb focal point and are sometimes used as “centauries” to provide a grand entrance.

The Horkesley Park Suffolk Punches are also very popular at garden parties and alfresco events.
